                                Kenneth Tarver - Conte d’Almaviva
                                (June 14th, 17th, 20th, 22nd) 
                                
                                Kenneth Tarver is considered to be one of the outstanding belcanto 
                                tenore-di-grazia of his generation, acknowledged for his beauty of tone, 
                                virtuosic technique, extensive and even vocal range, coupled with an attractive 
                                and elegant stage presence. He has appeared in prestigious opera houses, 
                                including the Royal Opera House-Covent Garden, Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper 
                                Berlin, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Bayerische Staatsoper, Dresden Semperoper, 
                                Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Opéra Comique in Paris, Theatre de La 
                                Monnaie in Brussels, Metropolitan Opera in New York, Teatro San Carlo in Naples 
                                and the Festival in Aix-en-Provence. Mr. Tarver regularly collaborates with 
                                conductors such as: Claudio Abbado, James Levine, Alberto Zedda, Ricardo 
                                Chailly, Carlo Rizzi, Bobby McFerrin, Frans Brüggen. 
                                
                                Plans include: La 
                                Cenerentola in Beaune under J-C Spinosi; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in 
                                Berlin (Staatsoper) and Padua; Salome (Narraboth) in Sassari; Bach’s Magnificat with 
                                Il Giardino Armonico and Giovanni Antonini in Wroclaw.

                                Matteo Macchioni - Conte d’Almaviva (June 15th, 18th,21st) 
                                
                                Young and promising artist he made his debut at the Teatro Verdi in Salerno as 
                                Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore under the baton of Daniel Oren, after that 
                                he performed Il Conte d’Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the 
                                Festival Internazionale in Stresa. Mr  Macchioni is finalist at the 
                                "Pavarotti international voice competition" (2008) and at the Toti Dal Monte 
                                Prize in Treviso (2012). He recorded for the label Sugar. 
                                Matteo 
                                Macchioni returns to Genoa where he performed in Le Nozze di Figaro. 
                                
                                Plans include:
                                Adriana Lecouvreur at the As.Li.Co circuit in Italy and he will attend 
                                the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro with Alberto Zedda.

                                Francesco Cilluffo - conductor

                                Conductor and composer, he graduated from the Turin Conservatoire, the Guildhall 
                                School of Music and the King’s College in London. Among his most notable 
                                appearances as conductor: a new production of Tancredi for the Circuito 
                                Lirico Lombardo in Italy (Pavia, Cremona, Como and Brescia); Shostakovich’s Symphony 
                                no. 14 with the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra (in the framework his 3-year 
                                long collaboration with the orchestra); Cavalleria Rusticana in Sassari; 
                                a Verdi Gala at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow with the singers and the 
                                orchestra of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center; Cilea’s L’Arlesiana for 
                                the season’s opening of Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi (filmed in DVD by Dynamic); 
                                concerts with the Orchestra del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari and the ORT-Orchestra 
                                della Toscana; a new production of Il Trovatore for the AsLiCo on tour in 
                                Northern Italy’s historical theaters; Zemlinsky’s Der König Kandaules at 
                                the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Mozart’s Requiem and Duruflé’s Requiem 
                                op. 9 with the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra; Mahler’s Das Lied von der 
                                Erde at the Festival della Valle d’Itria; concerts with the Orquesta 
                                Filarmónica de Santiago de Chile; The Servant by Tutino at the Teatro 
                                Rossini in Lugo; Le Nozze di Figaro at the Byblos Festival; a gala 
                                concert at the Scottish Opera in Glasgow. M° Cilluffo had recently made his 
                                debut at the Teastro Regio in Parma conducting La Cambiale di 
                                Matrimonio. 
                                
                                Future engagements include: 
                                a new production of Wolf-Ferrari’s Il Campiello at the Teatro del Maggio 
                                Musicale Fiorentino in Florence; La Traviata at the Opéra Royal de 
                                Wallonie in Liège; a Verdian Gala at the Festival Verdi in Parma and L’Elisir 
                                d’Amore again in Parma at the Teatro Regio, then on tour in Modena. |
